Squier Jazz Pickguard

Sign in to disble this ad
Sorry in advance if this threads been done a thousand times; i did a quick search and i didnt find anything quite what I was looking for.

Im playing 07 squier standard Jazz. Ive contacted the folks at pickguard heaven, and a shiny new white pearl pickguard is in my reach. But, I need to send in my old tort p/g for them to use to make my new one.

Im kinda worried as I have no experience experimenting with basses, Ive only been playing for about 6 months. Is removing the p/g (and then putting it back on) as easy as unscrewing some screws? Would I have to mess with the pickups or strings at all?

I know its a dumb question, but I just wanna make sure before I start toying with my bass.

Nope. Just remove those little shiny screws. The pickguard should pull off, and then you're good to go.

I actually was considering just sticking some black washers then black screws in it... not pretty but functional...
