Squier Vintage Modified Bridge

I was wondering if it would be worth upgrading the bridge to a "stock" Fender bridge ? Are they the same/similar ? I'm just looking to get a bit more of a traditional "P" sound so I don't want a Bad-Ass

Thanks,

Rich

What problems do you have with the Squier bridge? The Mexican Fender bridges have moving saddles and that throws off your action. I would check out the Gotoh 201 ($30 at Warmoth). It's a higher mass bridge than the stock bridge and it's a drop in for Fender basses.
