Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass Tuning Machine Exchange

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello Everyone,

I am new on the forum, and I have read a couple of different threads regarding the Squier tuning machine's hole size... But I am still uncertain. So if anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Recently I bought a Squier vintage modified precision bass. Here is the exact model that I've bought:

I plan on changing the tuning machines... Because personally I am not really found of the "elephant ear" tuners. However I realized that the machine heads are way bigger than the regular "gotoh" style tuning machines. I measured the hole on the Squier and it is about 0.75 inches.

So my question is, is there any tuning machine that can fit the 0.75 inches hole, that is not "elephant ear" tuners but "bone" tuners? If there are, which website should I look at to purchase those tuners?

Thank you in advance.
