| I would take the allen wrenches that are supposed to come with your bass and raise the string height from the bridge in very small increments until you get desired results.
If you get the buzz out but find the action too high then I would add a bit of relief to the neck by adjusting the truss rod, then go back to the bridge and readjust string height and intonation.
If you don't have feeler gauges (which I don't) and do it like I and some others here do, based on feel, you can still get the bass to have good action but it will take longer than if you had the gauges.
