Squier VM vs fender neck

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Squier vintage modified jazz fretless, had it for a while but it turns out I have very little affinity with fretless.

Would a standard Jazz neck fit on there? I know it's the same 2.5" pocket width, but what about the radiusing?

Thanks.

I just put a MIM fender neck on my CV Jazz, bolted right on like it was made to be there. This was a Mexican made Fender neck bolted on a Chinese made Squier body. There is no reason to think your bass should be any different.

But I will caution, I did not expect this swap to go so well! I always expect a little tweaking when swapping necks.

Well, I just tried an MIM neck, and the corner radius is different, sharper on the Squier than on the MIM, it doesn't fit. Bummer.
