Question Steinberger DB bridge problems

Sign in to disble this ad
I just picked up a used spirit with the DB bridge. Everything seems to work great, except the de-tuner. It just de-tunes the string slightly ( a flat E, not even Eb ). The regular tuners seem to work fine. I checked here http://www.musicyo.com/planet/db.asp but that just adjusts the tension of the lever and knob .

Any ideas? Anybody have a diagram of how these work? It seems like it might be just mis-aligned or something is out of place. Before I go taking this apart I thought I might check here.

It's not a huge problem, but I kinda like the idea of having a "D" in a few tunes without switching to the fiver. Anyways, thanks in advance for any advice you can throw my way.

that link gives you real secific directions... push the detuner all the way foward and then tune to E. then release the lever and use the top knob to tune D. those are the first 2 steps in that link. hope it helps.

Thanks Nick. Now if I follow those directions and nothing happens, what should I do next?
