Steinberger fine tuner loose.

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently received my second Steinberger XQ-25 after a warranty claim for an electronics issue. They replaced the first bass with a brand new one which I thought was pretty cool. I am beginning to question their quality control however. The fine tuner on the B string is somewhat loose and there is some play in it. I don't know if it is because there is less of it inside of the bridge itself because of the heavier guage of string or what but it was not like that on the last one. Does anybody know if this can be tightened up so I can avoid knocking it out of tune by accidently brushing the B tuner? I really would like to avoid having to send this one back as I have gigs, etc. I love everything else about the instrument so I would like to make this work. Help! Thanks in advance...
