Sterling Ray34 bridge hex wrench

Sign in to disble this ad
Howdy folks,

Trying to hit up the knowledge base here.

I have owned a Stingray and many SUB's before this, the adjustment screws on the bridge of the Ray34 look smaller and the wrench I used for my SUB's don't fit.

Anyone know off hand what size hex nut they used on the Ray34's?

Thanks.

I would have thought it would be metric.

So what do you think of it so far? How long have you had it?

Just a couple days. It sounds exactly the same as my 2005 Limited Edition Buttercream Ray I had. The fit and finish is top notch. Other than the neck being a little bigger than I am used to it's a great bass. The only other thing I have noticed is the bridge saddle screws seem cheaper and more prone to stripping than the Musicman standard ones. Other than that it's really well made bass and the color, woodgrain, and finish are to die for.

I got it used in mint condition for 299.........shhhhhhh.

I'm glad you enjoy it - I have been thinking about those a lot.
They ARE perhaps one of the best deals out there. I've seen quite a few now and they DO seem to have the highest QC of most mid-price-point basses (allowing that the G&L Tradition is always a bit more money).

Very frankly; I haven't seen a "bad" one. I've seen some who had a bit rougher edge to the frets but nothing serious. Whoever does the Final on those just before shipping does a seriously wonderful job. Because so many have been sold, I think there are going to be more unbelievable deals out there too. I think I would buy one today (serious) if I had the $.
