Stingray pick guard on a SUB?

I have been looking for a pick guard for my SUB bass. On the Music Man forum they say a regular Sting Ray guard will fit but on WD Music and a few other pick guard sites they say their SR guard is not for a OLP or SUB. HELP!

I've put a couple of WD guards on SUB's, fit just fine for me. Interestingly enough, I also put a WD guard on my '85 Ray but had to reshape the neck cutout.
