i just adjusted thje hight of the action on my Fender J MIM bass, it has the BadassII bridge on it, I noticed that after I did this my A string makes a weird noise near the nut almost like its buzzing in the nut. If I lightly put my finger on the A string on the nut the sound goes away..These strings are pretty old could that be the problem, the nut looks perfectly fine.

You need more presure on the tuning post. To achieve that, you need to install your strings in a way that the posts have more windings on them so you get more downward pressure at the nut, avoiding any rattles, buzzes, etc
