stock Ibanez hardware replacment store

Sign in to disble this ad
I set out to replace the saddles on my srx700. The accu cast 200 bridge it came stock with only has one height adjuster per saddle, and mine have become lopsided over time.

Ibanez customer support was somewhat useless. They wanted to charge me $72.00 +ASAH for the bridge (no saddles only available).

I kept looking and stumbled across http://www.drumsetc.com/

They offer the same direct replacement Ibanez bridge for $62.95 including ten dollars shipping. I just ordered one.

It seems that they offer most all the stock hardware from recent Ibanez models.

I hope this will save a few people from the customer service frustration I am feeling right now.

Update- my order will take a total of three weeks to arrive because they're waiting for my bridge to arrive... from Ibanez!?!?

I don't get it; by ordering from drums etc. I added a middle man and saved $20-$30 bucks.

First off, thanks for the link!!! Now that I could order one without doing backflips while spinning plates, it's got me thinking about flipping an older SR bridge for a quick-load.

I think you just changed middlemen for one with a different philosophy & business model; from one that likes lots of profit on after-sale sales or on repairs to one who is just selling parts over the internet. I don't mind some extra $$ for a part that's in stock, nor a bit extra for someone who stocks parts. I do mind paying a premium when someone only stocks consumables (pots, output jacks).
