The screw came completely out? Do you have the old screw? If you do, take it to the hardware store and get the next biggest screw with the same head style, diameter not length although you might want to get a screw that is a 1/4" longer than the old one.

Search the forum for "loose strap button" and similar phrases. From the way you asked the question, you are new to this and can benefit from reading some threads about what has happened to others.

And Guitar Center has replacements and screws - but you need to repair the wood where the screw came loose or it will happen again, and worse.

You can use the same size screw if you shove a toothpick in the hole on the body- screw should go in tight as ever. Some even put a drop of Elmers glue in there, too.

The other strap button will have a screw, most likely the same size, that you can use for a reference.

Oh, and check to see if any other screws on your bass are likely to suddenly fall completely out while you're at it. Sounds like you missed the first half inch of that one walking out on you!

Shove toothpicks in it. And while it's apart remove the other one and install some nice strap locks
