Strap Locks Color Bleeding

I bought some black Schaller Strap Locks from Stewmac. For the longest time when I unpacked my bass I'd notice some black marks on my hands.

Today I realized the black marks were coming from the Schaller strap locks. The color is rubbing off onto my hands. Does anyone else have the same problem? Any way to keep the color from bleeidng off? Not really sure what's causing it or if it's just a faulty batch, as sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn't.

yeah, I've had this same problem, also the screws are too small for the holes and they keep coming loose. They almost ripped out on me while i was on stage.
