String Guide For Lefty Neck

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought a vintaged lefty bass neck for my p-bass. I'm a right handed player, and it's a right handed bass. What should I use for a string guide for the E and A strings, since they will be the long ones now? I have a string guide, but it's a cheap one, and it's for D and G strings, and doesn't have grooves like fender bass guides. And would one with grooves for standard basses work? I wouldn't mind getting a bar, or any other type, I just don't feel like waiting two weeks to put something on it.

No, the tuners aren't installed, they are just placed under it to see how they looked.

The strings you usually get should work. I'd suggest getting a string tree with groves or the bar. The trees without the groves tend to let the strings move a bit causing them to go slightly out of tune. A standard one should work, I don't see why it wouldn't. Best of luck to you. Have fun, and I hope this helps.
