String Height - Action

Sign in to disble this ad
I am trying to setup my Zon 6-string with low string heights at the bridge, while minimizing fret buzz. Obviously there will have to be a compromise between the buzz and action. Currently my BEADG strings are around 35/64ths from the bottom of the string, measured at the bridge. The High C is running a little lower, around 31/64ths.

I know the Zon necks are set dead flat. Should my strings all be set to the same height? I play fingerstlye exclusively with a light touch so i am not too worried about fret buzz. Should I loosen the strings when adjusting the bridge height, or moviing the saddles to intonate?
