A string issue.

Hello, I put a new hipshot bridge on my made in Mexico bass, I have an issue with the A string, its somewhat dull.

I put the old Elixir strings back on after installing, but I was not getting as many winds on the tuner heads. At that point the A was muted somewhat compared to the other strings.

I bought a new set of DR High beams, and installed them and once again the A string is just slightly muted. I am still in the process of finishing the setup, but the E string is considerably louder.

Any ideas, I may take it in and have it setup professionally, so far I have a good job setting my bass's up.

I put the old bridge back on the MIM Jazz, and all is good now.
