String and pickup heights for slap bass

I'm curious how other people set up the heights of their strings and pickups for slap. Currently, I have my D and G strings lifted high for facilitated double popping. Is this unusual?

No,your set up on those particular strings isn't unusual.If you want to slap like Flea,I would suggest light gage strings and an overall low string height.That was part of his "secret" and it does actually work.If Flea is not a favorite influence,then nevermind what I said.I just know that this set up makes it easy to slap and pop.
