So like 1 month ago when i put on some dean markley they were great.tension was loose had a nice ring, now the strings feel like crap, the tension is super tight, it just doesnt feel so good, turns me off know what i mean.
And another thing, the string height is high, whatever i do, it ends up high. lowering by the bridge causes buzz, adjusting the t-rod, i have no experience with it and doubt itll solve my problem, help me out. THanks in advance. |

If it was fine and gradually got higher, there is a good chance your trussrod does need a tweak. Try this. Fret a string at the first and 18th frets, The gap between the top of the 7th or 8th fret and the bottom of your G string shoud be somewhere between a business card and a credit card (depending on preference). If it's much more than that, the Trussrod definately needs to be tightened.

I drop them till they buzz and then raise jsut a tweek. A very slight buzz usually won't be heard out of the amp anyway. As far as the actual tension of the string, you would have to change strings to alter that.
