String-through bridge replacement for Fender

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey,

I have a raggedy P-bass I've been customizing lately, and I'm planning on drilling it for string through - I've done it a couple of times before and it has turned out good each time, so I'm not worried about that. It currently has the standard 5-hole bridge hole mount.

I'm wondering, does anyone have experience with the mounting hole patterns of the aftermarket bridges that are string-through? More specifically, would there be any lineup between a bridge designed for a Fender American series (3 hole mount) and the existing 5-hole pattern?

Are there any recommendations on a string-through compatible aftermarket bridge model then?

Thanks for the input.

I've converted a few basses to string through using Fender 3 screw bridges and I just filled the old screw holes and drill fresh holes for the new bridge.
