Will somthing this work or should I get something better.

I have no use for a pedal tuner like the strobostomp and the stroboflip sits on my amp with no issues. It is easily the best tool I've gotten for tuning my basses. I've gotten so used to have near perfect intonation because of this thing, that I can now here every little off note if the string is out of tune. |

Is it solid built?
Does it handle the B (and below)?

Saying this, I usually just though it in my gig bag, and haven't had a problem since. It handles the low B with ease, and I wouldn't doubt that it can go lower, though I haven't tried it. It is a very precise tuner and completely worth the money in my book. It has a ton of different tuning functions, including a buzz feiten setting for tuning and intonation, which is great for me with my MTD. |

ive ordered the new strobo stomp 2, i imagine that will last me just as long if not longer.
Dave
EDIT: the strobostomp is i think cast aluminium, making it a bit more resiliant than the strobo flip. |

I really need something other than my old Sabine tuner to set intonation.
Does it have a 1/4" in jack so I can run it off my head or off the DI box??

It can be run off batteries or separte power supply, but I've been using it for months on batteries without them dying. |

I think this piece of gear is gonna do wonders in set up and during performance. My old tuner has been around for many, many years and is getting squirrelly. Plus I really need one of these to set intonation.
Because of the quick replies, I was able to find a blem and save $50. Thanks!! Right on time.

For me, it's easier to use this way or connected to the output of a DI (when I go direct only).

Just one thing to know about the Stroboflip is that the blue led's don't come on around the controls unless the power supply is plugged in. The screen still lights up, but the led's around the buttons don't. It is written off as some kind of battery saving measure. At first I was a bit upset by it, but I have come to realize that at home or even on the gig, I haven't needed the controlls to be lit up yet. |

Shouldn't be an issue, as my last tuner only had the red to green thing going on. Just had to hope you were in the right note land.

I have a couple chromatic tuners, but they're still a little off and been giving me headaches trying to set the intonation. Hopefully, this will be rectified b/c it does seem like a lotta scratch to drop. But if it works, it will be worth it!!
