Strong solution for deep scratches on metal?

Sign in to disble this ad
the crescent plate at the side of my stingray for the knobs has got a deep scratch.
makes my heart ache looking at that
the surface is shiny so i'll have to skip sandpaper.
is there any strong solution which may be able to bite deep into the metal to remove the scratch?

if it is a big scratch, you took away material. You really can't just fix that. You ought to just buy a new plate.

Ernie Ball has great customer service. You should be able to get one cheap.

If there are any electroplaters near where you live, let them have a look at it. It may be repairable at a cheaper price than replacement..
