Suggestions on outsourcing fret level/crown/polish?

Does anyone here know of a good place to send out a bolt-on neck for a good level, dress, crown, and polish? I see some places online, but can't tell the quality of their work.

Would it be better if I attempted to do this myself? I have a couple of new SX basses and they need some work (in addition to a good setup) and I would love for them to play well, like I know they can. I have done some sanding, bodywork, and am decent with working with my hands, so is this something I could do without ruining the necks/fretboards?

where are you located? I have good experiences finding luthiers in my area, and checking with other musicians
