Suggestions for a p-bass pickguard color

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Fender P-bass in Lake Placid Blue with a maple neck. It has gone through a few different colored pickguards but I am still just not happy with the look. It's sported white pearloid and an anodoized black already. I'm thinking mint green at the moment for that classic old school look. any suggestions?

Stewie, you're judgmentally quoting bible verses and you don't even know how to read!

Blue and white is such a natural combination, it blows me away that white pearl didnt cut it. Was it a bright white or a "vintage" white? Would that have made a difference? Some folks dig tort, as a traditional look as well.

If I was looking for "traditional" on LPB, I might like to see what Coronado gold may look like, as well as mint green.

White pearloid did look really nice but it was just a tad too flashy for my taste. I decided on mint green and installed it this afternoon. The thought of anodized gold did run through my mind also but, I'm 100% completely happy with mint green. It gives it that off white vintage color i was looking for.

I wasn't aware that anything besides a mirrored pickguard was allowed with Lake Placid Blue and a maple neck.

ha...yes all hail Steve Harris, but I just wanted a p bass that is a little more "me" and vintage looking. I think my next project may be a candy apple red precision...but we'll see.
