I recently had some airline put a dent in my beautiful STR CS-5. I had a friend try to repair it but he ended up going to deep into the finish and rubbed some of the white off. I've since decided to have it refinished. I'm looking for suggestions on who to do it and what color to go with.
I've heard that Pat Wilkins does wonderful work. Do you all have any suggestions on who to do it? Also, what color do you all suggest. From looking at the neck pocket it looks like this bass might be a one piece ash body. For that reason I'm tempted to go with a natural finish with a light die to bring out the grain a little. I think it will combine well with the Koa accents on the bass. What do you all think?
