I wouldn't. The finish under the CA is prolly lots softer and you'll undercut it around the CA and it'll get worse looking, if that's possible.
Never use a finger and paper either, as you'll concave the surface if/when you do get it to cut and that's kinda hard to fix when that happens.
It'll look like fried eggs on the surface if you do it that way.
Use a nib file which will only cut the material that sticks above (stands proud) of the finish of the body itself.
They are not commonly available - but a full service auto paint shop for PROFESSIONAL automotive painters should have them.
