Super glue vs epoxy

Just wondering if this was true ...my luthier says super glue is harder wearing and doesn't flake off like epoxy ....not sure if he is saying it just because he has a big tub of super glue and no epoxy to hand??

My girlfriend broke up with me 34 years ago.
I got drunk and smashed my six string acoustic
on the floor.

The next night I was so sad I broke my guitar
that I got drunk and glued it back together with
10 Minute Epoxy.

34 years of use and it plays and sounds better
than ever, and it ain't flaked a bit,

What do you think?

I've found cyanoacrylate (super glue) to be a tad more brittle, and perhaps a bit more resistant to abrasion than most common epoxies. But I have found epoxy to be quite tenacious in adhering to a clean surface. They both have their strengths.

Super Glue is prefered, because it is more resistant to abrasion and it also gives a nicer finish than epoxy, because it soaks into the wood better and is clearer. The super glue also gives a tad brighter sound wich works much better with flats.

Which glue sounds better with roundwounds???

Can I use epoxy if I play bugsplat-grindcore-booger-metal?

:D

What do you want to use it for? Seems like an obvious question. Guess not. Not on talk bass, anyway.

I have a 2 band 90s rosewood fretted stingray..... Ideally I would like to convert to unlined ebony but its a lot cheaper to do the superglue thing.... I was just wondering if this would be a good compromise.

Also I want to use round wounds and I don't want to be hassled too much with recoating all the time.
