an SX neck on a Squire body

sorry if this has been covered before, but its a bit hard to search for.

so i've basically trashed the neck on my squire p, and i'm thinking about ordering a short scale SX neck as a replacement. are the two compatible?

I've heard they aint quite the same- one is thicker/thinner.... U might have more luck w/ a reply by posting on the latest page of the SX basses megathread.

Is your Squire P a short scale bass? If it isn't, a short scale replacement neck won't work. If the scale length on your bass is the regular 34" long scale, you need to replace the neck with a 34" scale long scale.
