taking off bound frets

my frets are bound to my neck....but i want to go fretless.is it possible without getting a new new neck to change it to a fretless?

Fret removal is the same as an unbound neck. If it is a Gibson style binding/fret job then the nibs will have to be sanded off after the frets are removed. Filling the slots is more or less the same. If you are filling with a slurry it is simplified because the sides of the neck will require no finish. If you are filling with veneer then you will have to work tight to the binding but there is no trimming and refinishing of the sides after the filling is done.
