Got a few old basses that need new necks, and these will fit perfectly. But a voice is telling me not to...
...maybe it's yours? http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-of-2-Fender-...3A1|240%3A1318

I don't know...they look OK to me. Maybe not the greatest, but they'll work.

They clearly haven't been beaten around, and it appears they have been installed once. Given the cost of a new neck, if you can get them around the current cost and only one is good, you come out way ahead.
I don't care whether it's Fender or Squier on the neck - it's basically the same neck. Big deal.

| | | | Looks like auction is over, but I'm hoping that you made out OK if you bought them.
But the truth is... I kinda agree with JLS... I personally have had nasty luck with Squire necks. In two cases, I replaced an original neck with an SX (and both of these were SX "seconds", a 25 dollar neck and a 35 dollar neck).
In both cases, I was extremely surprised at how much of the problem was indeed the Squire neck (multiple dead spots, eneven volume between notes, etc.) I have to wonder how many others have noticed this too?

Dave | Got one of those SX necks, ($19.00 special, bound and blocked Jazz, no nut slot,B stock) It was very surprising. A touch thicker profile, which I prefer, but otherwise? It solved a few probs I had and looks good doing it. |

Is there a way to get the SX necks by themselves somehow?
