Tapewound buzz and action on my Harmony H-22

Sign in to disble this ad
Just slapped on some GHS tapewounds on my h22 and I LOVE the sound...
The only thing is that I have to put the action up about 5mm to keep the strings from buzzing. Is this normal?

It actually is still quite playable, but is this common to do with tapewounds ? (I've heard of buzzing problems with these strings in reviews/forums before.)

Less tension with the new strings has removed relief from your neck. Methinks you should have adjusted your TR.
