Tenor bass anyone?

Sign in to disble this ad
So i purchased a Schecter C-4 recently and im looking at tuning it to ADGC. I bought a set of Dean Markley Blue Steels as they were super super cheap at my local shop and i still need to grab a high C string before i can make this happen.

Does anyone have experience with this kind of tuning? Any tips or things to try? Should i have just gone for a full 6 string set and cannibalized the E and B for my 5er? I searched expecting to find something on the subject but was surprised to find nothing, so hopefully theres a few of you guys out there who have messed around with this. Thanks for any input you may have!

I usually buy 6 string sets for my thumb bass(tuned E-C) and use the B for another bass or throw it away.
