I love my new Samick bass that I got for $85.80. it sounds great and plays great. slaps like a mother! one problem however... I get terrible fret buzz on the 7th fret of the A string. and that's about all the fretbuzz I get on the bass. why?

My best guess is that you would need to have that fret leveled or replaced. If all of the strings were buzzing at the seventh fret, I would suspect a bowed neck. Since, it's only on the A string, I'd say it's not level. Take it to a competent repair shop. It's shouldn't cost much.

Good luck!

The fret will likely have to be filed down a bit to even it out.

thanks for the input. I don't know if spending money to fix a cheap bass is worth it. might as well sell it for more money and earn some profit and get myself a midrange Spector.

Moved to Setup.
