Are there any hipshot bass xtenders that will work for pre 2008 Fender jazz basses?

i asked a question a few months ago asking if the bass xtenders for the 2008+ models will work for my 05 MIA jazz and one guy said no. but does hipshot make other xtenders that will work with my 05?

The short answer to your question is no & yes. No, the extenders for the later years won't fit your model, but Hipshot does make one that will. I have one on my '05 MIA P, just don't know what model it was.

Hipshot has outstanding customer service, so you should hear back from them shortly. Did you email or telephone? Phoning during business hours is practically a guarantee you'll get your answer on the spot.

i emailed them a few hours ago. when did u get your bass xtender?

You do realize that it is the weekend, and you may not get a response until Monday, right?

Not meaning it in an inflammatory way, just want to make sure you realize that you may have to wait a day or two...

FYI - I have three Fenders each with a different model Hipshot...basically, when Fender changed their design, so did Hipshot, that's why there's like 7 different Fender models...

yea that probably wasnt my brightest idea. ive noticed that the tuners on my jazz dont have any screws except for the main one in the middle with the gear on it.

Maybe the BT4...looks like that would work...it has no mounting screws....

2003-2007 MIA Fenders are weird, these are the ones with the S-1 thingamabob.

I have a Hipshot extended on my '88 P. Just wait till monday for their reply.
