Is there a company that makes custom tuners?

Hello, new member, long time lurker here.

Last month there was a relatively rare 60's/70's Yamaha bass on eBay, and it had really cool half-circle tuner knobs:

That got me wondering - are there any companies out there that make bass tuners with unique knob shapes, or companies that will do fully customized tuner knobs?

THG will make custom wood knobs for tuners.

fwiw my zon's gotoh tuners have a Z motif on them, the big companies will probably do a run for you if you need quite a few.

A good machine shop should be able to fabricate a set of tuning key knobs. I doubt it'll be cheap. But who said being different was cheap?

Yeah, a machine shop is your best bet. It won't be cheap, but then again, good stuff seldom is.
