Unhappy Thin neck crack. Action required?

Dear Bass specialst,
I am fairly new to bass guitar playing. I have a Epi Rivoli bass guitar that suits me fine. I have noticed a very minor hairline crack in the neck just below the headstock. There has been no trauma to the guitar. The crack goes through the finish and runs from the fretborad side down the neck. The issue is that the crack is visible on both sides of the neck. Thus, the crack may run into the wood.
So - the point is - the neck is still intact but with bilateral cracks in the neck. Is this possible to fix, or do I have to wait until the neck breaks completely?

Could you post pictures? That might help.

I agree, pictures would help - but if it's more than a surface crack, I would get it to a tech or luthier before it separates. Less damage, less work, less expense.
