Threaded Saddle Issues?

Has anyone ever had issues with the "Vintage Replacement Bridges?" I've heard that sometimes with threaded saddles that if you play hard the string will jump off the saddle? I might be getting one soon...just wondering. I play really hard.

I prefer the threaded. I've never had them jump while playing. They've shifted before, my guess is by transporting my basses in gigbags. The reason I like them is you can fit them in another groove to get the most accurate alignment with the pickups.

That's basically the same bridge on my Fender AV62RI Jazz. Granted, I have a light touch, but the idea of playing so hard that the strings, when up to tune, would shift on the threads is not something that's going to happen. However, the saddles themselves can shift slightly, and do from time to time. No big deal though.... in 2 seconds or less I just slide the group back into position... which is a very, very slight re-position. Again no big deal.

For customized string spacing on a Fender-style bridge, it's a good, economical choice. I never had a problem of any kind when I used them. FWIW, the newer Fender high-mass bridge features hybrid string saddles that offer similar spacing flexibility with a more finished, less funky look.
