I finally received my Thumb NT from Mark after having him re level the fretboard and refret the bass, he also fixed all the chips and dings in the fretboard and refinished it nicely with virtually no over spray. Really well done job.
We spoke awhile prior to the repair/rework, he had a lot of experience with Wenge wood, so that + plus a few other tricks and jigs he had told me he'd come out pretty good on this type of repair/rework job.
Well, I was not disappointed one bit.
We decided on a bone nut rather than the sorry tone sinks Warwick uses, the difference is noticeable. Takes a little edge off. Since the fretboard was replaned, the action is very easy to adjust and fret out with a slight turn of the truss like a well made bass should.
This is an older Thumb, but it is in awesome shape and has very nice wood and the wenge, so it's pretty much like a new bass but old stock.
