Time to Mod up my MIM Child. Any suggestions?

I have a MIM jazz with custom rectangular pearloid fretboard inlays. It, over this last year, has become my child. I could not bare to get a different bass, even an MIA Deluxe, but I also want to improve the quality of the bass. I have, so far, in mind to put in a Fender Custom Shop '60s J Bass Pickup Set and replace the bridge with a Fender P Bass/J Bass Vintage Bridge Assembly. The color scheme is a jet black with a plain white pickguard. I am changing out the pickguard to a perloid one to match the fretboard inlays. I have been hesitant to change the pickguard because I am thinking of putting in a "F" bridge cover. Any Ideas? Feel free to shoot down my idea's or prompt me with other equipment.

I would like to see a pic of the bass as it looks now.

As for mods, well these things are personal. Some people like the vintage look, some like a modern look. Some enjoy agressive pickups and others don't.

Sounds good to me, except for the bridge cover. I don't like those huge F covers. Besides, why cover up the new bridge?

I agree. My friend suggested it cause he knows im a bit of a vintage fan. I don't like it cause im afriad it will limit my playing ability cause it covers the back pickup and I tend to float their and I hear they inhibit slaping. I just was curious to what you guys would say.

I don't have a camera anywhere accesable right now, but ill try to get one asap. It is a basic design other than the fretboard. Best way I can describe it is a geddy lee signature bass but with rosewood fretboard with pearloid instead of black inlays.
