Tinny sounding G string on SR500

On my new Ibanez SR500 E,A,D strings are great. Set-up appears good. G string sounds like a guitar string, very tinny. Bad string? Raised frets? Any ideas?

Thanks.

Tinny as in a ton of fret buzz, or tinny as in very bright? The first one can be fixed with a quick setup (ie: probably just raising the G string's saddle). The second one, you might want to try different strings. A thicker gauge lends itself to a meatier tone.

Thanks for the response.

Tinny as in bright. I did raise the saddle a tad. The SR500 comes with Elixir strings. I don't know what gauge.
