Tokai P-Bass String Question

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a 1985 Tokai TPB-'57 P-bass that I would likt to string with some flats but cant seem to find any that will work. It has a standard 34" scale and has the top-load option at the bridge only. I have tried Roto' and DR's and they both have wrap on the ball end that is too long adn sits on the bridge. The E strings are also about 2" too long in my opinion allowing the fat part of the string to wrap around the tuner post. Any Ideas on a brand that I should try? Thanks
