Too Much Relief?

Sign in to disble this ad
My neck is pretty bowed, but the bass sounds perfect, and is comfortable.

My question is can too much relief have any negative side effects on the neck?

If its a fairly stable neck I wouldnt think so...although it is wood and can warp into whatever shape over time and pressure. That can be said about anything. If its reinforced you should be fine. If it feels and plays good then.... I think a LOT of a setup is purely personal.
