Tort pickguard for MIM Jazz?

Sign in to disble this ad
I guess this could have been answered many times before, but anyway I did search and couldn't find anything about it and need to know now!; will a genuine Fender "'62 tortoise pickguard" fit my 94 MIM Standard Jazz?

Think i have heard sometime that the size of the pickup hole could be wrong?

yeah, those earlier mexi jazzes used these bogus pickups that were the wrong size, making any upgrade a PITA.

they still had decent chunks of wood for the neck and body, so if you like the bass, you could get better pickups in there (after a little woodwork), which would improve the sound, give you a hum-canceling middle setting, and allow aftermarket pickguards to fit right on.
