Traben Bass weak G-string
I have a 2009 Traben Array Obsession 5- the high end one with 2 Rockfield Soapbars and an active/passive switch. I have her EQ'd awesome, as long as I play on the B, E, A, and D strings. They're all nice and round, punchy and smooth. The G is so quiet that I really have to dig in to hear it at the same level, and that makes it not match the other strings tonally at all. I've tried raising that side of the pickups, but zero improvement. I don't think anyone makes pickups that will fit in this bass. Would a new preamp be in order? The whole bass sounds thin in passive mode. I just replaced the battery. My Rotosouns SwingBass 66's are a month and a half old.
Thanks for your help.
