Traditional P bass Nut

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought a Warmoth neck a few years ago and blithly said (oh, don't install a nut I can do that). About two years later I still don't have a proper nut for the bass.

Right now it's got a 1.5" nut in a 1 11/16" slot and I'm having a hell of a time finding a nut that fits.

Does anyone know where to find a slotted 1-11/16" nut?

It's 1 3/4", so some filing may be required. Which is also true of the nut slots anyways. Hope this helps.

I have a Tusq nut on my Squier P-Bass. Dropped right in, needed absolutely no touching-up or adjusting whatsoever. Slapped on some flats and I was good to go.

I use Graphtech nuts on all my guitars and basses. I am also a big fan of their string saver saddles, but they just dont make the kind that will fit my Schecter

I spent a little more time on the grahp tech website. Great stuff, I didn't know they made so many products. I've always used Tusq nuts, but the webiste is so clear on sizing that it makes me want to use their stuff - like all their stuff!

Let me know if you need any help.

I strongly recommend the book 'How to make your electric guitar play great' for its instructions on fitting nuts and other maintenance topics.
