Truss adjust after string change

Put a set of TI rounds on my Yammy 5 the other day. Now, in the past when I've fitted these strings to my 4s, as a starter, I loosen the rod a quarter as a matter of course for the lower tension of the TIs. (When changing from brand X to TIs, I should explain, not from TI to TI).

Interestingly, the rod on the Yammy was almost untensioned (yes, it does actually work) with the stock strings so there was little tension in the rod to back off for the TIs. There is a gentle bow in the neck and the action's pretty low, which I like.

The reason for posting is simply to share my observation.
