Truss nut stripped- help?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey folks... I recently started picking up my sx again and noticed that ht weather had changed so that hte neck was sort of bowing. the nut of the truss rod was stripped a while back, thats why i set it aside for a while. Is there anything i can do?

I dont want to ruin the neck, nor do i want to purchase a new one, because i coated this one in epoxy and did a few other minor things to personalize it.

Thanks

If you stored it tuned up with a loose truss for any extended length of time you may have already warped the neck.

Completely remove the TR nut and look at the threads on the rod. They may be ok. If they are just replace the TR nut with a new one.
