truss rod

well i just losened up my truss rod for the first time in my life i messed arund with the thing beacuse i was getting these odd buzzing sounds. How long should I wait before it should take effect because I tried it that time and it got some serious buzz now.

i did check the sticky, i checked it this morning it still had a little on some frets, i checked it again, it still needed a bit of fixin, and thanks for the advice
