truss rod...

Sign in to disble this ad
so if i tighten the truss rod until i get the neck the way i like it, and about a month later there's a little to much bow in the neck again, can i just go ahead and tighten it again with no regards to how much it has been tightened in the past? in other words, if the next is bowed again, does it mean that the rod has loosened? or should i be worried about snapping the rod? thanks guys

It's always a godd idea to loose the TR before doing any tightening. If you think that there's no more room to tighten the TR's nut, maybe you're in need of something extra, sometimes placing steel washers between the nut and the TR work.
