Truss rod completely stripped...help!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I was just making adjustments on my MIM fender jazz and the truss rod screw is completely stripped. I even tried to force it...Im and idiot... and bent the casing around the truss rod entrance pretty bad.

I have some money so I might just use the opportunity to justify buying a new neck, as ive always wanted o go maple.

Basically what im asking is, am I jumping the gun trying to buy a new neck, or is the truss rod an easy repair, or what ever.

Any options and help will be much appreciated.

I'd suggest posting a very sharp photo of the damage. It's worth 1K words.

Secondly, watch this video and see if the problem seems similar.
