if you are lucky, either the hex key or the truss nut got stripped. the REAL problem comes when the threads of the rod are stripped.(neck is junk now) this is normally why the rod is steel, and the nut is brass. the brass is softer and will strip first. can you totally take out the nut to inspect it? then you can tell what is stripped ect. im hoping its the truss nut. (cheap fix). johnny a

i am almost sure that is just the nut
also how do i know if the "threads of the rod" are stripped
also what are "threads of the rod" my english is not very good
also the neck look almost straight with a little relief so i gues my rod is ok but i cant adjust it beacause the truss rod nut is now bigger for the regular hex key
cant i use a bigger hex key? or will it damage it more and maybe even damage the "threads of the rod"
